Frequently Asked Questions
The questions we get on the phone every week, answered the way we would answer them on the phone. If yours is not here, call and ask.
Booking and visits
Two ways: the online form, which takes about a minute and asks for the appliance, the symptom and a preferred time, or the phone. Online requests are confirmed within one hour during working hours.
Same-day in most cases across Sioux Falls, Brandon, Harrisburg, Tea and Hartford. Refrigerator calls get priority because food is on the line. If a part has to be ordered, we are usually back within one to two business days.
Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We are closed Saturday and Sunday. If you call outside those hours, leave a message and we will come back to you the next working morning.
Yes, and it saves you money. List everything that needs attention when you book and we plan a single visit around the whole lot — one trip charge instead of three.
Someone over eighteen needs to let us in and approve the quote before work starts. For rentals we can coordinate access with the tenant and invoice the owner or property manager.
Cost and value
Yes, there is a diagnostic and trip charge. It is applied toward the cost of the repair if you go ahead with the work, so you are not paying twice.
Always. You get the part cost and the labor in writing before anything is opened up, and nothing starts until you approve that number. If the diagnosis turns up a second fault, you get a second number — not a surprise on the invoice.
Our rule of thumb: if the appliance is under eight years old and the repair costs less than half of a comparable new one, repair is the better value. Past twelve years replacement usually wins. We would rather lose a job than sell you a repair on a machine that is finished.
Payment is due when the job is complete and you have seen the appliance working. For commercial customers and property managers we can invoice per property.
The repair itself
One to three hours for most jobs, and most are finished on the first visit. If a part has to be ordered we are normally back within one to two business days.
Usually. The vans carry what actually fails — start relays, thermostats, fan motors, defrost heaters, igniters, bake elements, drain pumps, door gaskets and water valves. Rarer parts and control boards for specific models get ordered.
Yes. You get a written warranty covering both parts and labor on what we repaired. It is on the paperwork we leave with you, not a verbal promise.
All major brands. We are factory certified for Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Maytag, JennAir, Amana, GE, Café, Monogram and Hotpoint, and we regularly service Samsung, LG, Bosch, Frigidaire, Electrolux, Sub-Zero, Viking, Thermador, Miele and Haier.
Yes, gas and propane both, including ranges, cooktops and wall ovens. Gas work is leak-checked before we leave, every time. If a burner will not light, stop trying to relight it and call us — unlit gas keeps flowing while you experiment.
Yes. Built-in wall ovens, column refrigerators and premium cooktops have to be drawn out of the cabinetry carefully, which adds time, but they are a normal part of our work.
Yes — including the water line, drain connection and levelling. Levelling matters more than people expect: an unlevel machine leaks, drains badly and walks across the floor.
Area and customers
Sioux Falls, Brandon, Harrisburg, Tea and Hartford. There is no travel surcharge inside that area. If you are just outside it, call and ask — we often can.
Yes. Restaurant kitchens, cafes, laundromats, apartment laundry rooms and small food businesses, including scheduled preventive maintenance, which costs far less over a year than reactive callouts.
Regularly — rental appliances and shared laundry rooms are a large part of what we do. We coordinate access with tenants and can invoice per property.
